One of the most popular bakes is made even speedier by baking them in an air fryer. I like to add nuts or dried fruit to the batter for extra flavour. But leave them out if you prefer the classic fudge brownie. Learn how to make these irresistible fudgy rich brownies in your air fryer in only thirty minutes. They are so easy to make from scratch.
PREP 10 minutes
COOK 30 to 35 minutes
MAKES 12 brownies
KIT you will need a microwave (or hob), an air fryer, two mixing bowls, baking paper and a 10 x 8 inch baking tray
Ingredients for air fryer pecan brownies
125g of dark chocolate, melted
125 of butter, melted
175g of caster sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon of baking powder
80g of plain flour
25g of cocoa powder
Pinch of salt
25g of crushed pecans
To serve (optional):
Vanilla ice cream, double cream or warm custard
Method
First, line your baking tray with the baking paper and set aside. Grab a mixing bowl then add your butter and brake the dark chocolate into the bowl. Using your microwave, set to a medium heat and cook on 40 second bursts, until the butter and chocolate are melted into a smooth consistency. Alternatively you can melt your butter and chocolate in a saucepan on the hob over a low heat if you prefer.
Next in a large mixing bowl add in your broken eggs, caster sugar, cocoa powder, flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt. Then add in your melted chocolate and butter and fold in well. When everything has been folded together, add in your crushed pecans and fold again. Once you have a smooth brownie mixture, pour the ingredients into your baking tray and smooth over the top.
Place the baking tray into your air fryer drawer then set to 160c and cook for around 30 minutes. Or until the brownie is cooked throughout. Carefully remove the baking tray from the air fryer and leave your brownies to cool before cutting them into around twelve small squares.
I like to serve my chocolate pecan brownies warm with some vanilla ice cream, double cream or warm custard but they are also delicious on their own.
