KIT you will need an air fryer and a large mixing bowl

Ingredients for air fryer pork meatballs

500g of ground pork (beef, chicken or turkey mince also work)

60g of breadcrumbs

60g of grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon of garlic paste

1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon of dried basil

Salt and pepper, to taste

150g of spaghetti

1 jar of passata (or homemade tomato sauce)

Fresh basil to serve

Method

So start by combining minced pork, half of the grated parmesan, (saving half to garnish), garlic paste, dried oregano, dried basil, and seasoning in a large mixing bowl. Mix everything together until well combined. Roll the mixture into 1 inch diameter balls using your hands.

Then place the meatballs in the air fryer basket in a single layer. But leave the crisper plate in and make sure the meatballs are not touching. This will help the hot air circulate better for even cooking. Then air fry the meatballs on 190°C for 10 to 12 minutes, or until they are golden brown. Remember to shake the basket halfway through for even cooking, Add in your passata sauce, covering your meatballs or your homemade tomato sauce and stir well.

So while the meatballs are cooking, you can cook your pasta in boiling water according to the packet instructions. I used spaghetti but any type of pasta works well with meatballs. Then once it has cooked, drain your pasta and set aside.

Serve the meatballs in tomato sauce over your freshly cooked pasta, topping with extra grated Parmesan and fresh basil for garnish.
