Air Fryer Baked Camembert

This air fryer baked camembert makes a perfect appetiser or canape for a party. It will make the ultimate cheesy comfort snack. It is so delicious and easy to make. If you are a huge cheese lover like me then this recipe is an absolute must to try. Learn how to make a baked camembert in the air fryer with garlic, herbs and cranberries in just 15 minutes. This quick and easy air fried camembert is also the perfect festive dish to serve to party guests at a Christmas gathering.

Cooked quickly and easily in the air fryer, this is a delicious appetiser or canape that is sure to impress your guests. Thanks to the efficiency of the air fryer, the camembert will be baked in just a few minutes. It is so much quicker that baking a cheese in a traditional oven. And it can be cooked in even the smallest of air fryer baskets. Grab a crusty baguette or some crackers and get stuck in! A baked Camembert is not just a dish to serve at Christmas, but it works all year round. I love to serve this baked cheese with a salad during Spring or Summer. This dish is great for sharing when entertaining but it also makes a romantic starter for two on a date night.

PREP 2 minutes

COOK 15 minutes

SERVES 2 people as an appetiser

KIT you will need an air fryer and tin foil

Ingredients for air fryer baked camembert

A 250g whole camembert cheese – if boxed then keep the wooden box for cooking and serving

2 cloves of garlic, peeled and thinly sliced

A sprig of fresh rosemary

2 tablespoons of red current jelly – one for cooking and one for serving

Crusty baguette, toasted bread or crackers to serve

Method

So start by removing the camembert cheese from the plastic wrapper and placing it back in it’s wooden box. Slice the top of the cheese 3 or 4 times with a sharp knife.

Peel and thinly slice your garlic then push into the top of the cheese. Add a tablespoon of red current jelly and a sprig of fresh rosemary on top of the camembert.

Cover the seasoned camembert with tin foil and carefully place the whole cheese in to the air fryer basket. And then cook on 180c for about ten minutes. Then open the air fryer and remove the tin foil and cook for a further five to ten minutes.

Remove the camembert from the air fryer and serve it in the box. I like to serve my baked camembert with a warm sliced crusty baguette for dipping..
