Essential kit
You will need an air fryer and mixing bowl.
Ingredients
Pork steaks
1 lime, juiced
1/2 a fresh red chilli
A handful of fresh parsley
Fresh green salad to serve
Method
I cut my pork steak into strips and placed in a mixing bowl. Next I chopped half a red chilli and some fresh parsley and added to the mixing bowl along with the juice of one lime. I gave the ingredients a good mix then covered with cling film and left in the fridge for an hour.
Once marinated, I air fried my pork steaks on 195c for around 8 minutes and they were cooked to perfection. Depending on the size of your steaks, they may need a little longer. Turn your pork steaks half way through the cooking to ensure they are cooked on both sides. Always check your meat is cooked thoroughly before eating.
Take your steaks out of the air fryer and leave to rest for a couple of minutes.
I served my air fried pork steak with a fresh green salad.
Serving this dish with a fresh green salad not only adds a refreshing contrast to the rich pork but also boosts the nutritional value of your meal. Green salads are typically rich in vitamins A, C, and K, as well as folate and iron, contributing to overall health and well-being.
This dish is perfect for a quick lunch or a light dinner. And it’s versatile enough to be paired with various sides. For a more filling meal, consider serving the pork steaks with some roasted vegetables or a grain like quinoa or brown rice. The possibilities are endless. And each variation can bring a new dimension of flavour and nutrition to your plate.
