Eating a delicious burger can often feel like a real treat. But if like me you sometimes feel overwhelmed by the sheer size of what arrives on your plate then these air fried mini burgers are just what you need. I had some left over meatballs from the previous night’s dinner and the ends of a loaf of bread. So instead of wasting them I made these air fried mini burgers. I absolutely abhor food waste and most of the time it is completely unnecessary, you just need to use your imagination. Or borrow from mine, and you can still whip up some star worthy dishes. These air fried sliders are so simple to prepare and are ready in just ten minutes.
This dish is excellent for any occasion and all ages. They make a perfect bite-sized snack or as part of a buffet when entertaining friends or family. Cooking them in the air fryer means you use little or no fat to cook them, and the patties are crispy on the outside and oh so juicy on the inside.
These air fried mini burgers feel like a real indulgence. But with their miniature size you can enjoy them without any feeling of guilt. The combination of savoury meatballs, gooey melted cheese, fresh tomatoes, and crisp lettuce is a flavour explosion that will tantalise your taste buds and leave you craving more. Plus, the homemade burger buns made from slices of bread add a rustic touch that takes these sliders to the next level.
Essential Kit
You will need: an air fryer and a small bowl
Ingredients
3 Meatballs
2 slices of bread
Cheese, sliced
Tomatoes, sliced
Lettuce
Method
I squashed the meatballs into burger shaped patties and placed them into the air fryer on 180c for around 10 minutes. I then cut around a small bowl to make the burger buns from the slices of bread. Alternatively you could use store-bought mini burger buns of course.
Next I sliced the tomatoes and cheeses and washed my lettuce leaves. I assembled the air fried mini burgers then ate them all myself. Greedy I know!
But they tasted too good to share!
