Essential kit

You will need: an air fryer and mixing bowl

Ingredients

2 stale croissants

4 rashes of smoky bacon

1 egg, beaten

A handful of grated cheddar cheese

Method

I first air fried my bacon on 180C for 8 to 10 minutes, adjust your timing depending on how crispy you like your bacon. Don’t forget to check half way. Using the air fryer uses so much less fat than frying in a pan so is a healthier way to cook. Take your bacon out of the air fryer and put to one side.

Next I sliced the croissants length ways and stuffed them with the air fried bacon and some grated cheese. I then cracked an egg into a bowl and beat it then brushed the egg wash over the croissants. I then placed them in the air fryer for 6 minutes on 180c. Don’t forget to check half way as air fryers cook at different speeds.

What a great way to start the weekend with these air fried hasselback croissants!
