Air fried chicken kebabs

This air fried chicken kebabs recipe is a great dish for the kids and grown ups enjoy it too. I always use chicken thighs rather than breasts for my kebabs, I just find them so tasty and juicy. The thighs have a richer flavour and stay incredibly moist during the cooking process, which makes them perfect for kebabs. This recipe is simple to prepare and cooks quickly in the air fryer, making it a fantastic option for busy weeknights or casual gatherings.

Essential kit

You will need an air fryer and wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Chicken thighs

1 red onion

Baby plum tomatoes

Baby corn on the cob

Method

I cut the chicken thighs into bite size pieces and popped them onto a wooden skewer, along with red onion and baby plum tomatoes. Also I had some baby corn left over so I put those onto wooden skewers as well. I placed my chicken skewers into the air fryer and cooked on 180c for around 10 minutes. I then turned them and cooked for a further 10 minutes to brown them on both sides. Always make sure your chicken is cooked throughout before serving. Add your corn to the air fryer about 5 minutes before the end.

Serve these delicious air fried chicken kebabs with your favourite dipping sauce and enjoy.

These kebabs are perfect for outdoor BBQs, indoor dinners, or as a fun addition to any party menu. The combination of tender chicken thighs, sweet red onions, and juicy baby plum tomatoes makes every bite a delightful experience. The baby corn adds an extra layer of texture and sweetness, ensuring that every skewer is a hit with both kids and adults.
Using the air fryer means you get that lovely char and crispness without needing an actual grill, making it accessible and convenient regardless of the weather. Plus, the air fryer cooks the chicken evenly and quickly, ensuring that your kebabs are perfectly done without any guesswork.

Serve these kebabs with a variety of dipping sauces to cater to different tastes. A classic garlic aioli, a tangy BBQ sauce, or a spicy chilli dip would all pair wonderfully with the flavours of the chicken and vegetables. For a more substantial meal, you can serve the kebabs over a bed of fluffy couscous or alongside a fresh green salad.
These air fried chicken kebabs are a testament to how versatile and easy air fryer cooking can be. They’re packed with flavour, quick to prepare, and healthy too. Whether you’re making them for a family dinner, a casual lunch, or a party snack, they are sure to be a crowd-pleaser. So, next time you’re in the mood for something delicious and satisfying, give these air fried kebabs a try.
